    Harry Main bike check

That is a wild colour combination. Where did you get the cans?
My friend owns his own Car spray shop, TRAVIS AUTOS. It's in St Helens, car repairs, body repairs and spray stuff. Sick setup over there, we started it just as a little project on a Sunday night and the idea was to go all green but the silver undercoat went too well with it so I was just like, nah do the back end blue now.. haha it worked sick!

How well do you strip a frame before applying the paint?
Usually just sand it all down nice and smooth but this time Travis Autos had some crazy machines that got it smooth as butter.

Parts you go through most often?
    Hardly any. None.

Do you mind the bike getting scratched up when you put it in your car?
Not had that problem yet. I put it on the back seats, so it should be sweet.

Do you have a blanket in the car to protect it?
    No way, haha.

Where's the next session going to be then?
I just rode Redditch today, amazing ride. A lot of stuff worked and off to ride somewere tomorrow!

    Hey guys,

I just got back from Australia. Had such a cool time while I was home. Spent a lot of time with the family.

I'm in Phoenix right now doing a Vans road trip to get photos and video but we started the trip at the bmx race. I ended up getting 3rd in the Vans team race and Cory "Nasty" Nastazio won. It was such a cool time.

Ryan Guettler on the BMX race track.

On day one during the ABA Winternationals BMX race in Phoenix, Arizona Ryan Guettler scored a third place.

His gate starts aren't what they're supposed to be after a one year break. A podium isn't that bad though but there's always Sunday with these races. One full race on Saturday, one on Sunday.

Early night, lots of rest? We'll see if Ryan grabs another trophy on day 2. Stay tuned.

    Catching up with Andy Buckworth

Andy Buckworth is on a mission. We're glad he's on the Mirraco program because if you haven't heard of him yet, you will. Andy is back in the USA for a while and we caught up with him to see what he's been up to.

You're one of those lucky guys to enjo
y two summers per year. What did you all do when you went back to Australia?
Andy: I just rode my bike as much as I could with my friends back home and on the hotter days I went to the beach or chilled in my pool

How's the scene in Australia at the moment? Do you believe it's growing?
Andy: Hahahaha, the scene is scooters. A lot of the young bmx riders have made the switch to scooters. NOT COOL.

Australia has loads of public concrete parks. Are they still building new ones?
Andy: YEAH, it's crazy. Instead of making 2 or 3 really good parks they make a hole lot of little parks in every town.

What park is local to you back home and who do you ride with?
Andy: Local parks are Slam Factory indoor and Wadalba outdoor. That's where I ride with my mates
Luke Bowerman, Danny, Bryan, Tom Glue, Amen, Danny C and a lot more.

You went back to the USA a few weeks ago but stopped in California first. What was going on there?
Andy: They had a big mega ramp style jump set up so we could get some practice in for the upcoming Nitro Live shows in Australia.

You pulled a double front flip on a big ramp. How long had you been thinking about that one?
Andy: Well to me it was just a joke trick in the pit. I never planned on doing it but after a week of playing on the Nitro jump I knew if I was ever going to do it, it was going to be there.

When is the Nitro Circus Tour going to start and where will it take you?
Andy: We all fly out to Australia at the end of April so the shows will start early May.

You're at Woodward camp now. Got any new tricks you're working on?
Andy: Not really right now. I'm just trying to get used to all the ramps again but I have been working on a few front flip tricks.

Did you set any goals for yourself for 2010?
Andy: Yeah I'd like to have a nice car by the end of the year hahahahahah, and also I would really like to get invited to the X games.

    Barbero goes XD

In Europe Disney's XD channel got launched at the beginning of the year. It caters to the younger riders out there but it's good to see they're using "extreme sports" rather than soccer, tennis and field hockey to get the kids glued to the TV. BMX is one of the bigger parts of the show and in Italy they got in touch with Mirraco rider Alessandro Barbero.

Watch the clip that made it to the Youtube channel. That's Ale with the orange hat and yes, he's wearing make up during the TV production.

Barbero is now at Woodward West enjoying the dry indoor ramps.

    Ryan Guettler "Off The Wall"

Earlier this week we mentioned that Ryan Guettler was going to extend his presence in Australia to ride the US vs. THEM contest but he has decided to go back to the USA to do a Vans Autograph signing and a BMX race as originally planned.

If you're in Phoenix this week, you can meet Ryan at the new Vans store on Thursday 4 March (Scottsdale Fashion Square) or at the ABA Winternationals where he's going to try to take home another BMX trophy like he did last year.
