Last night Nigel Sylvester threw a party at the Spit Studio in Hermosa Beach, California to celebrate the wrap-up of his “Because I Grind” Tour, and kick-off of his upcoming mixtape collaboration with hip hop producer The Alchemist. The party featured special guest DJs, food by Green Truck, open bar and great company!
Straight after the 2009 World's in Germany Alessandro Barbero was on his way to France for another stop of the FISE Experience tour. The end prize in BMX is a brand new Fiat car and Alessandro has his mind set on that vehicle. He is well on his way by raking up another win in Avoriaz.
You have summer - we have winter!
The new issue of Desillusion magazine came out. The French "core sports" and fashion magazine has a double page spread featuring Dave Mirra (page 80-81) doing a bike flip on his Blend Ltd.
The 2009 IBMXFF World's suffered from many rain showers last weekend. It caused the Pro Park event to be cancelled.
Nigel is doing a tour for Gatorade and they are stopping at 2 Mirraco dealers this weekend. We asked him some questions about this tour:
It looks like you're going coast to coast with this one?
Not only did Mirraco distributors Christian Kohler and Jann Rosskamp get some coverage in the latest issue of FREEDOM BMX, Andy Buckworth and Ryan Guettler scored some press too in the same issue. Andy must be stoked on his backcover Mirraco ad too. Thanks to Freedom for the press and La Finca for the promotion. Now that Harry Main has broken his leg, the riding will have to come from Maxime Charveron, Alessandro Barbero and Ryan Guettler this weekend at the IBMXFF World's in Cologne. Stay tuned for updates on that event.
Not the news we like to post here but Harry Main has broken his leg while filming for Nike 6.0 over in Germany. This means he'll be definitely out for the IBMXFF World Championships in Cologne this weekend and most likely a Dew Tour stop and the X-Games as well.
Make it a double please! Alessandro Barbero adds one on some of the tricks he shows in his latest web clip. After watching the video, take a look at his new website: www.alessandrobarbero.it
Save the planet by doing what you like doing: ride your bike. Watch the clip and see what Nigel Sylvester has to say about it.
Mirraco has been distributed in the UK by Trek UK for the last 2 ½ years with great success, building the brand from nothing in 2007 to over 120 quality dealers by early 2009, with investment in the brand not only through some innovative marketing but by building a great relationship with both BMX specialists and non-specialists alike. As the brand has grown, it has become more important that Mirraco becomes a focus for a business for whom BMX is its sole interest, and Trek UK is pleased to announce that IMG Distribution have been appointed as the exclusive importer and distributor of the Mirraco BMX brand. This agreement will allow both companies to focus on their core business and for IMG to take Mirraco to the next level.

They people behind Gatorade made this "behind the scenes" video clip of Nigel Sylvester shooting the print advertisement with Mark Losey. See what it takes to shoot a magazine ad in the following clip:
Harry Main is making a name for himself quickly. At the contests people expect him to back up the killer web videos that he has been producing.

Seeing Dave Mirra ride his own park is something else. Hard to grasp, hard to capture. DC just released a web video of Dave riding the animal warehouse, brakeless.

It's hard to stop Dave Mirra. Even a stop sign doesn't help. Check the following DitchHook video clip to see how close that Rally racing is.
Soul BMX Magazine is one of the leading BMX mags over in France. French Mirraco distributor Sunex placed a new ad featuring Ryan Guettler and they showed the following bikes in the ad:
A 74.5° head angle, 20.75” top tube combine and extra-short 13.75” chainstays give the Blend Park super-quick handling. Of course, double-butted chromoly tubing and a crazy batch of dope parts don’t hurt.

Alessandro Barbero has two clips floating around on the internet right now. One is done by his friends over at NoSoccer.com. They filmed a show Ale and a few others did in Rome a few weeks ago. Triple whip during a show? You know it. That's Alessandro in the green shirt by the way.
