Guettler 7th at Red Bull Stompin' Ground Chicago.

Ryan Guettler was one of the invited riders for the Red Bull Stompin' Ground event in Chicago. Rain and wind didn't help out much but a contest was ran in the end and saw Ryan finish 7th.

Guettler's story in 2020magazine

Ryan Guettler does more than ride a bike alone. He bought an old van back in Australia, loaded it up with some friends and made a report about the trip for 2020 magazine. It's in the latest issue so check it out. It's available on Zinio too.

Barbero ITW + VDO

Alessandro Barbero flew over to Woodward for a few quick riding sessions. He's even hungrier now after his big win at the FISE in France. With a few big contests coming up the Italian is working hard towards good results. His riding hasn't gone unnoticed. Rock in the Middle did an interview with the Italian that you can read by going HERE. Hope your Italian is decent.

Austin Coleman gets Canvas on the podium twice at Asian X Games

Last weekend the Asian X-Games took place in Shanghai, China. Although no official Mirraco team riders were present we had a Mirraco Canvas frame on the podium twice. Austin Coleman has been receiving Mirraco frames as a form of support and he's taking his riding to the next level. Coleman finished third in Pro Vert on Thursday and backed it up with another bronze on Sunday in the Mini-Mega event. He was the only rider to step on the podium two times. Congrats to Austin.

Nigel Sylvester and Gatorade Go All Day

Nigel Sylvester teamed up with Gatorade to release the first video in a series that shows his unique life as a pro BMX rider. The video is one of three to be released – all of which were conceptualized and written by Nigel and Glenn PP Milligan. The videos show just how crazy Nigel’s life is on and off a bike, and has a cool storyline woven throughout the three videos. 



This first video, "The Night Episode," shows Nigel as he cruises the streets of New York City after dark, with fellow riders Ralphy Ramos, Tyrone Williams and Ralphy Bury, and follows them from bike to boutique to bar.

New colors for Al D's Mirraco bike.

I thought I'd share my project with ya's...I don't have sand blasters and I never have, but this took a lot of time to swap the paint from black to white, and strip paint off most parts, and spray the frame clean. The only thing that is not two years old on this bike is the rims...everything on it used to be black if u can picture it. lol!

Hope u like it :) It weighs like 19 lbs. and is super fun.

10 year old flips on a Mirraco bike

The Mirraco Project bikes were built for the serious kids out there, like 10 year old Tucker Smith. Because of the weight of the bike, it gives them more control. They don't have to handle a 30 lbs bike when they're going upside down. The sequence is from BMX Plus! where Tucker backflips next to BMX legend Dave Voelker aboard his Mirraco Project 16. Awesome.

Andy Buckworth has joined the Circus. Well, the Nitro Circus with Travis Pastrana and his boys. It's a crazy action sports show that is traveling across Australia at the moment. Andy just did a double frontflip on the mega ramp that they have brought along.

Alessandro Barbero wins FISE 2010

Alessandro Barbero got hsi big victory in Montpellier, France today. The Italian won a big one by grabbing first place at the 2010 Festival des Sports Extremes (FISE). Frontflips, 3-triple whips and his newly invented "Italian Job" were some of the tricks that Alessandro pulled off in front of a mega crowd. 300.000 people visited the event over the weekend that ended with the Park contest on Sunday. It was a dream come true for Ale.

Barbero qualifies for finals at FISE

Freestyle BMX events don't get a much bigger crowd than the one at the FISE in France. The people that show up to watch the event is simply amazing. In pro park qualifying close to 100 riders had to ride for a spot in the top 20. Making it through is tough in a big field like that but Alessandro Barbero made it and qualified in 5th. He even unleashed the frontflip over the box and the superwhip as well. Finals coming up today. Good luck to the Italian Mirraco rider.

Harry Main injury update. Few more weeks to go.

"Hey everybody!

I had a check up on my injury on Tuesday. So I have 3 weeks and 3 days left in a cast and then I'm going to need physio for a couple of weeks to get it strengthened back up! But should be back up and running in no time! I don"t even feel like I've been off my bike that long and it's been 3 weeks! Crazy!"

X-Games 2010. Mirra and Guettler are in!

Making it to the X-Games as an invited rider is good news. Dave Mirra already qualified in Big Air because he made top three last year but the good news came in for Ryan Guettler that he got picked for the Park contest. A committee that collects the votes from BMX media, industry and fellow pro riders announced the first round of riders last week and Guettler was one of them. Now let's see if Harry Main, Andy Buckworth, Alessandro Barbero, Mike Laird and Nigel Sylvester receive some good news in the near future.

X-Games 16 will take place in Los Angeles from July 29 - 1 August 2010.

Maxime Charveron moves on

The day has come for Maxime Charveron to move on. He was one of the original European Mirraco riders and has helped put the brand on the map in France and Europe in general. Over the years Maxime has ridden at many international events like the Dubai X-Games, The Simpel Session in Estonia, at home at the FISE in France, a Nike Demo in China, the BMX Masters in Germany and many many more. Also his last Mirraco - Nike 6.0 Partners in Crime web edit with Harry Main was one to remember.

Jim Ford: "All of us at Mirraco would like the thank Maxime and wish him well as he moves on to WTP. We have nothing but respect for Maxime, his riding skills, and his professionalism. Don't ask how he does it but Alessandro Barbero sure knows how to score some press. Riders Magazine? Never heard of it but Alessandro got some pics in the new issue as you can see on the photo above. Alessandro will also be going to the FISE comp in Montpellier, France next weekend (14-16 May) so if you have a magazine, come over and shoot the Italian. He'll get you some good shots.

Web update by Ryan Guettler

I've had an amazing last week so I thought I'd tell you about it.

April 22nd I went to Germany for the T-mobile dirt jump comp and placed 2nd behind Ant Napolitan. It was a fun comp with super good jumps. If you missed it there is a video on vitalbmx.com and Fatbmx.com. Everyone was riding sweet so it was a good start to the year.

Then Sunday after the comp Josh Harrington, Rob Darden and myself got a rental car and drove to Rotterdam to stay and film and find some street spots. Rotterdam is amazing for street and very laid back so we never got kicked out of any were we rode which was crazy! I got to do 190km/h on the freeway but it's allowed and eat every night at the famous Bazars. The only downfall of the trip is Rob rocked his knee bad on one of the last days so he is now booked in for a MRI on Monday so fingers crossed for him.

Other than that I had one of the best trips ever so a big thank you to Vans, Andy Zeiss, and T mobile for showing us a good time.
