Barbero places third in Berlin

Alessandro Barbero made it to the final four riders over at the Extreme Playgrounds contest in Berlin, Germany. Ryan Guettler could not transfer to the final group but tried hard. In his first run he crashed out on a superman backflip over the box but picked himself up and put all effort in run number two. Things didn't work out as planned in the second run either and his direct opponent Mark Webb took the transfer spot to the last 4 riders.

Alessandro Barbero beat Mark Koenig to get to the last 4. Rob Darden took Barbero out in the next round but then Alessandro grabbed third place by edging out Mark Webb. The $ 2700 check and trophy girls were for the Italian.

Dave Rytell in Edmonton, Canada

Dave Rytell was up in Canada last week to show support for one of Mirraco'slargest dealers in North America- United Cycle in Edmonton AB. It was their annual Bike Expo and they really know how to throw a party!! Brandon Semenuk (Winner at this year's Red Bull Rampage), Ben Boyco, and Jay Hoots were there to represent the free-ride MTB side of things while Rytell was holding down the BMX shop with videos on the big screen.

The shop went off, the DJ was rockin, and everyone was having a good time. The local scene up there in Edmonton is packed with rippers and they all seem to suspiciously gather at the same watering holes. Rytell had a good time with the locals and was a great ambassador.

Thanks to United Cycle for having us and supporting BMX. If you are in Alberta and get a chance to stop by you won't be disappointed.

Everyone else can check them out at unitedcycle.com

Joe Tiseo Memorial park opening

Mirraco flow rider Al D visited the opening of the Joe Tiseo Memorial skatepark in Bloomfield, NJ on Saturday and made sure the park got to see some BMX stunts like flairs and 3-whips. He reported: "A huge crowd of supporters showed up for the opening ceremonies which dedicated the park in honor of the late pro bmx rider Joe Tiseo. All of the Bloomfield township polititions were on hand to praise the hard efforts of those involved in making this park become a reality. Ralph Sinisi gave a speach in Joe T's honor in which made you feel happy you had known Joe but also brought on tears to all in the crowd how deeply he is missed."

Barbero clip from his home park

Alessandro Barbero has been spending his off time working on his own park in Italy. Looks like things are progressing telling from this recent clip that Alessandro sent over.
Funny to see how he misses a sheet at the bottom of the ramp and still rides them. Dedication.

Take me to the video.

Mike Spinner update. Yes he's still alive and busy as ever.

I've kinda been "MIA" for the last 2 weeks, but I've been running around like always since Orlando Dew tour HA HA. I'm def stoked to get second overall again. This is my second year as a Pro Bike rider so I can't complain at all. Out of the 5 Dew tours this year I Podiumed 4 out of 5 so I'm pretty stoked. I wish I could have won one of them, but next year I think I know what I need to do so it will be sweet! But now is the off season so I get to do a few things I've been wanting to do. One of them is relax. But also I had some promises.

First off I went to my friend's wedding. I was one of the grooms so it was kinda wild. It was the first time I was ever at a wedding and I had a ton of responsibilities. Also I've wanted Rim's on my car for a year now since I bought the Dodge magnum so I finally went out and got them. Then a few days later I lowered it a few inches so I'm super pumped on that. It rides sweet. I fit Into Miami now ha ha. Also my dad has been wanting to go to NYC for 10 years now as that's where he lived all his life and I was born there so right now I am in NEW YORK City. Today My dad and I took the trip to Queens to hang with Nigel for a little bit and Check out his shop Format. It was sooo Dope

Other than that, next week I will be in New Jersey for Garret Reynolds' Banksgiving and then one week later is Dennis E's Banksgiving, then that Night is the NIKE VIDEO premiere! I've been holding my breath for this for months now. I'm sooo excited for this video to come out-

Until next time

Last weekend the Vibrations Urbaines contest will took place in Pessac, France. Dave Rytell took a plane from Florida to Bordeaux a week ago and has been hanging out with his friends over there and did a couple of photo shoots for an upcoming interview in SOUL BMX magazine. Dave made the finals but dislocated his shoulder when a toejam on top of a bank to wall went wrong. French Mirraco rider Maxime Charveron rode awesome and finished second.
