Best bike he has ever had....

A bike needs to fit well. For riders who are in between a 16 inch bike and a bike with twenty inch wheels, it's tough to pick the right bike. But Mirraco has got some bikes with 18 inch wheels which are perfect for these riders. The Black Pearl 18 for instance. It doesn't only look cool but it will handle the riding of a 10-12 year old really well.

Now we also have an 18" bike in our line that is meant for the more serious rider. When the parents see that their kid is living the BMX life and talks about nothing else, maybe it's time for the Project 18. Michael Hobson is ten years old and his dad just uploaded some pictures to Mirraco's myspace of him riding at Rampworx skatepark in Liverpool, England. Michael is ripping it up on his Project 18, the best bike he's ever had!

Here are some links to the 18" wheeled Mirraco bikes:

Still want that bike with 20"wheels? Here's the first one in line:

Mirraco all over the place this weekend

The Mirraco riders are a busy bunch. They go from jam to contest to show to autograph signing. Ryan Guettler will be on the road more than he will be at home with the Vans AM contest coming up (where he'll be judging), and plenty of European events on the horizon too. Harry Main will go to the JomoPro contest and there's a possibility Alessandro (who just got back from Mexico) Barbero will be there as well. Harry also made it on the Mini-FAT-JAM poster doing a 360 over the spine. Good to see BMX is alive and kicking.

Guettler will be judging at this event on Friday 3 April:

Mirraco is supporting this jam. That's Harry on the flyer.

Ryan Guettler will be present at this Dirt jump event in Germany in April:

2 weeks of Woodward for Maxime are over

Maxime Charveron (France) was over at Woodward East for two weeks to get some riding done. The Frenchman teamed up with Alessandro Barbero and Harry Main and had sessions together with whoever was around at camp. Fun was had but to all good things comes an end. Maxime is back home in the cold but had a good workout while in the USA.

Barbero wins in Mexico!

Alessandro Barbero described the Revolcon contest in Mexico as "really crazy." The weather wasn't working out as there was a lot of wind and the concrete parc he described as "sketchy."

But that didn't hold the Italian back from winning the contest, signing tons of autographs for the kids and having a good time.

Congrats Alessandro!

Project 16 sighting at Woodward West

At the BMX Reunion at Woodward West last weekend we noticed a few Mirraco bikes around. This ten year old rider was testing out his Project 16 by dropping off this huge extension. Later in the day he was doing 360's on the resi section plus backflips in the foampit.

The Mirraco Project 16 was designed with these kids in mind so they can throw that bike around and progress on the same rate as the older and stronger riders.

Harry Main clip number 2. Same angle, different trick.

Harry Main trick number 2 from his recent visit to Dave Mirra's place in Greenville. What is it? The only way to find out is to hit the play button.

Oh yeah, Harry also got this two-page spread Nike ad out that you can find in the magazines.

He also has a large poster made of the same 6.0 advertisement. You can ask him for one next time you see him. He's got them rolled up and saved in his top tube. You bring the rubber band and a marker so he can sign it.

The clip. Almost forgot:

Guettler's take on the Winternationals

I just got done with the 09 Winter Nationals in Phoenix. I got back from Australia on Monday and Jerry Badders (Vans team manager) asked if I wanted to watch him race bmx in Phoenix on the weekend and then fly to Greenville after. I was down but as soon as I heard Nasty was going to race I wanted to also.

Jerry got me a bike and full face and even went to Vans and got all matching long sleeve Tees. Jerry drove the Vans bus on Thursday and I stayed behind in Cali and rode Sheep Hills and got my berm and race sprints on, then got a flight that night.

On Friday we got to the race track, did a few starts but I soon realized that I suck at gate starts. I was getting waxed by every man and his dog, even a little girl on a pink bike smoked me off the line but as soon as I got going it was smooth racing.

Saturday might have been the funniest day I've ever had. I never knew Nasty used to race and he's fast as, jumping the triples and easy won his class. My class was harder for me to win but I came through with a win and I'm pumped as. Racing is super fun and I'm going to try and go to a lot more races.

Thanks to everyone who gave me pointers about gate starts and to Jerry, Vans shoes, Monster energy and Mirra co for getting me a bike, helmet and loads of fun. Dig deep and pedal like you stole it hahahahha

An update from Ryan Guettler

What's up guys. It's been a while... I've been chillin in the sun in Australia. Was such a fun time but now I'm in CA again. I'll be out here for 9 days going to hit up the trails and even go see most the sponsors like Mirraco and Vans shoes. I'll be filming a day in the life type thing with Vans showing everyone how we make and design a Vans Whip 2, so look for the video soon.

Also while I'm out here Me, Jerry Badboy Badders and Nasty will be doing a BMX race in Phoenix, can't wait.

In case you didn't hear about it yet, the Bush Fire appeal at Beenleigh went so good. Had one of the best days ever. We made around $3000 dollars and gave a lot of cool gifts away. Highlights include:

-Dave Dillewaard winning the flyout comp and giving the winnings to the appeal
-Richo killing the bunny hop comp and almost braking the world record
-The live Dj's set up on top of the wall ride and rocking out all day in the sun
-Clint Millar pulling a truck fly out haha
-Brad Taylor on the mic all day

This year is going to be fun. I'm going to be going to a lot more comps overseas. 1st one will be a Vans road trip with Colin Mackay in a few weeks and it ends up at the Fise comp.

Ryan Guettler
